We inspire students for self-realization in IT

Smart Room For Everyone – SMARFE is a joint project of GAMO with schools and students, IT fans, in the Banská Bystrica region. We are developing cooperation between company – school – pupil.

We give students the opportunity to expand their digital skills along with the vision of an inspiring career in IT now and after graduation. SMARFE is changing the way technology is integrated into the educational process and preparing students for a technological future. How?
They work on real projects using IoT technologies. They participate in workshops on project management, security, developing soft skills and communication in IT practice.

For example: in one of the assignments of the project, the task was to build a “smart” classroom in different types of schools within the framework of interactive teaching. That is: collect data through IoT sensors and analyze it to propose improvements in school processes or practical teaching of subjects focused on electronics and programming. Result.

Establishing cooperation with private companies in the field of IT allows students to gain practical experience and advice from professionals, which will open doors to professions in demand in the market.

The Secondary Vocational School of Information Technology and the 1st Private Banská Bystrica Grammar School are actively involved in SMARFE. We meet regularly, evaluate the progress of the project, discuss with students the importance of the topics for their professional growth.
