IT package as a recipe for crisis

The energy crisis also has its positives. It is forcing us to live more economically, to be kinder to our planet, and to think about the future and the safety of our children. Not to waste and to streamline the efforts made to achieve the goal. To think how and where to save, what to optimize and what to automate. The same applies to business.

An essential part of any well-functioning company is a process of safe transformation in the area of digitalization and process automation. This must correspond with the security requirements for handling business-critical data. This is the only way to ensure the efficient functioning of the company.

And it is thanks to modern IT technologies that we can mitigate the effects of the economic crisis. How to do it?

Gathering and visualizing real-time data to optimize different processes can be key to lean production management or detecting energy waste. If a company has dozens of factories, it is a huge benefit for them to monitor and adapt the production, logistics or warehouse process in real time from an app on a mobile device. This identifies potential safety hazards that could jeopardise the operation and provides the opportunity for immediate action. Yes, visualisation of attacks alone has not been a strong point of security systems so far, but the digital twin takes this area to a new dimension as well.

An important part of any business-critical process is setting up adequate security for that process. It is confirmed that it is worthwhile to have a problem solved, to examine systems or infrastructure and to increase their added value to the maximum. An extremely important activity is cybersecurity education campaigns for employees. Sophisticated phishing messages or malware threats are aimed directly at them. Therefore, teach them in advance how to identify such messages and how to behave when a threat occurs.

As a flexible and scalable solution, the cloud can offer many opportunities in this regard. Many savings come from the very nature of cloud computing: you only pay for the service you are currently using. Your internal resources, both human and financial, are not spent on operations and service; you can focus them on new development projects. What do you say? It’s high time to rethink running your own servers and start combining them with cloud services in a hybrid IT infrastructure operation model.

Thanks to the willingness of partners and clients to communicate and share positive and negative experiences from everyday practice, we bring you new lessons from the IT package in the pages of the fourth edition of the magazine.

And don’t forget that any measures you implement in your company take time, you will only really appreciate them in the long run, so start today.
